Products / BESSe

Human-portable energy storage. Modular. Field-serviceable. Mission-scalable.

BESSe modules store solar-charged energy in a format built for the field — portable enough for a two-person carry, scalable from a single unit to a 10-module platform, and engineered to operate at -40°C.

Designed for the Field

Human-portable by design

Both modules are sized for a two-person carry. No crane, no forklift, no specialist equipment. Deploy, reposition, and retrieve by crew.

Plug-and-play docking

The docking system manages connection, chemistry detection, and charge management automatically. No setup. No configuration. Plug in and it works.

Dual chemistry

BESSe supports both LiFePO4 and Na-ion chemistries. Mechanical keying prevents wrong-chemistry connection. The charger auto-detects and adjusts — same hardware, different firmware.

Embedded outputs

Each module delivers AC, DC, and USB-C independently. Power tools, communications, lighting, and personal electronics directly from the module — no external inverter required for small loads.

Extreme temperature operation

Operates down to -40°C with active self-heating below -20°C. Rated to +50°C. Designed for the same environments as the rest of the SES System.

Scale without re-engineering

Start with one module. Add modules as your power requirement grows. Same docking interface, same safety interlocks, same charge management at every scale from 1 to 10 units.

Chemistry

LiFePO4 and Na-ion. Both supported.

LiFePO4

Lithium iron phosphate. Proven chemistry for industrial and defense energy storage. Stable, safe, well-understood.

Na-ion

Sodium-ion. Emerging chemistry with supply chain advantages and strong low-temperature performance. Supported from day one.

Mechanical keying prevents wrong-chemistry connection at the hardware level. The docking system detects chemistry automatically and adjusts charge parameters — no operator configuration required.

Part of the SES System

BESSe connects to the SES System docking platform and charges directly from SunDog via the central charger. Each module also functions as a standalone power source — AC, DC, and USB-C available independently at any scale.
