Concentrator photovoltaic solar. Sun-tracking. Engineered for where flat panels fail.
SunDog uses concentrating optics and precision sun-tracking to deliver power density that static panels cannot match — consistently, across the full operating day, in the environments that matter.
It finds the light even when conditions are against it.
Why It's Different
Concentrating optics
Fresnel lenses focus sunlight onto high-efficiency photovoltaic cells, delivering more energy conversion per square foot than flat silicon panels can achieve.
Full-arc sun tracking
SunDog follows the sun across its daily arc. Flat panels lose 30–50% efficiency at low sun angles. SunDog maintains consistent output from morning to evening.
Per-module MPPT
Each collector module operates at peak efficiency independently. Partial shading or coverage affects only that module — not the system. No single point of failure.

CPV vs Flat-Panel Solar
Why static solar has consistently underperformed in field conditions.
| Attribute | Flat-Panel Solar | SunDog CPV |
|---|---|---|
| Low sun angle output | 30–50% loss | Maintained — tracks the sun |
| Output consistency across the day | Peaks midday only | Full arc — morning to evening |
| Power density | Fixed by panel area | Amplified by concentrating optics |
| Partial shading impact | Degrades whole string | Per-module MPPT — isolated |
| Field serviceability | Panel replacement only | Modular — individual hex replaceable |
The O&G and mining industries have legitimate reasons to be skeptical of solar after consistently poor results from flat-panel installations. SunDog addresses the root causes directly. See how CPV differs →
Intellectual Property
SunDog is protected by 2 pending patents.
Patent coverage spans concentrator geometry, sun-tracking mechanism, power architecture, and system integration. Full IP disclosure is available to qualified partners under NDA as part of the technical specifications package.
Part of the SES System
SunDog is the solar input. The SES System is the complete platform.
SunDog integrates with BESSe modular battery storage, the intelligent docking system, and the field-grade system inverter into a single deployable platform. One SD2 unit per 96″×48″ skid. Scale storage from 1 to 10 BESSe modules to match your load.
